Joe Horne and Rob Benthem are amongst some of the new crop of talent emerging from the highly successful Rochdale Rugby Union Minis & Junior section in Bamford.
This season they have been selected to play for Sale Sharks U17s Academy. They had their first run out for Sharks last Saturday away at Midlands West Academy. Whilst the result was disappointing, both lads did Rochdale proud with Joe playing fly-half and Rob playing second row.
Joe is captaining Rochdale Junior Colts this season, with Sunday home games at Moorgate Avenue kicking-off at 12:30. Rob is going to Sedbergh School where he’ll no doubt have a great impact on the field.
