Rochdale RUFC members will be aware of the recent RFU of 19th January 2023 concerning the introduction of new tackle height laws in the Age Grade and the Adult Community game from 1st July onwards.
Correspondence dated 23rd January has been received from Lancashire County RFU providing background and supporting reasons for this decision. This correspondence from Lancashire RFU Council Members explains their position by reference to a paper from Dr Ross Tucker, a representative of World Rugby. There is also a link to a presentation HERE by the medical expert at the RFU.
Lancashire County RFU will host a meeting on 8th February to discuss matters further. Two representative of member clubs have been invited to that meeting and on behalf of Rochdale RUFC our Director of Rugby and a senior player representative will be in attendance.
