500 Club Winners

In Club News by Rochdale Rugby

Dear 500 club members,

I hope you are all well, staying safe and following government advice.

The next 500 club draw was scheduled for tomorrows home game verses Glossop which would have been the last home game of the season. With the race for promotion this would have been a winner takes all game as whoever won would no doubt have been promoted. We were all hopeful that following a superb season for the first team it would have been ourselves to follow the third teams promotion as winners of their respective league. Unfortunately Covid 19 took over and the season was suspended, However Rugby takes a somewhat back seat at these times and the health and welfare of our members and  their families quite rightly takes precedent. The good news is that we ran the 500 club draw from a safe distance today!

The first draw of season 2 prizepot was £1,200 and as the video evidence below the worthy winners being:-

1st Prize £600 Mr Mike Serridge

2nd Prize £340 Mr Tom Hindle

3rd Prize £260 Mrs Susan Helliwell

Congratulations to our winners, please contact either Tom Helliwell or myself for prize money, alternatively you can put it on your club card and take advantage of the club supplementing it by 10%.

Lastly please can I refer to those who have not already signed up for the easyfunding link. It is free for you to use but the club gets a kickback on any of your online purchases, if you can use this it would be greatly appreciated. Also in these challenging times where possible please try to use the services of our members and commercial partners who sponsor the kits etc together with the members of RRUFC Business club. These people generosity through the years have been the backbone of the club and it would be great if our members could give something back at this time to them. We all have to work together as one club in this time and in the future and push together as one.

Keep safe and see you all soon for the start of the clubs centenary celebration season when there will be lots of events scheduled to celebrate the event.

Kind regards
Jonathan Rhodes
